We dive into the design problem armed with the most effective research methods. Our aim is to investigate business domain and knowledge area as deep as possible. User centered methods are our weapons at this stage. Our investigation always includes interviews with a wide range of stakeholders – technical and domain experts, as well as end users.

Design sprints are aimed at building better products quickly. We complete the sprint within 5 days with a team of 3-5 designers. This approach is based on Agile practices, covered with design thinking process and flavored with lean UX. Such combination gives an opportunity to decrease an impact of V.U.C.A (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity), which has a critical influence on the success of the product. Our approach is an extract of methodologies similar to those developed by Google Ventures, of Stanford and IDEO. We blended and adopted these techniques to get the best value for money and to deliver the most valuable result to user.

Design Sprint Process

Systematic approach is our main tactic in knocking out the challenge. Staying skeptical, we discuss and develop the most viable ideas. Our goal is to extract an essence of achievability, readiness to cover users’ needs and feasibility of the ideas. This approach is a way of leading critical thinking into the design process. It helps us to come up with a bunch of effective ideas which could be taken forward. We offer the idea which solves users’ problem, is feasible for further implementation and relevant to business goals.

We start facing the challenge with rapid development of as many solutions as possible. Design sprints move quickly. And due to the speed of work, our team explores a wide range of ideas just within one intense day. Our design team members are applying their superpowers of creativity and problem solving to generate the most effective and innovative ideas.

We are aiming at completing this phase quickly, without investing tons of time and resources. The goal here is to make as much progress as possible towards delivering an artefact which can be tested and validated. When the viable ideas are chosen, we bring it to life with prototypes to validate our hypothesis.

Validating is all about getting the most valuable information – feedback. The phase can be started when the team is done with prototypes. We share it with users, technical experts and stakeholders to conduct an estimate. Depending on their satisfaction level, we make conclusion what works and what doesn’t work, and move with it towards improvements.
